During the first 38 years of my life, I was lucky to spend several months every year on the Baltic islands of Christiansø and Frederiksø, in all weathers and seasons. They are so small that you can walk around them both in an afternoon, so the sea is a powerful presence and features in most of these paintings.

The paintings here vary in style and age but are all bound together by my love for the islands, which have also been the base for several of my other series such as Blue Game and Lost Game.
